Daniel Naymark has been recognized in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Litigation and Administrative and Public Law, highlighting his accomplishments as an industry leader in these areas. Daniel has been recognized in Best Lawyers since its 2022 edition (released fall 2021).
Daniel Naymark was an instructor at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Week, a renowned annual trial skills training course that is a rite of passage of sorts for Canadian litigators. The 2022 course took place in Toronto from July 11-15.
Daniel Naymark has been recognized as a leading lawyer in corporate-commercial litigation in the 2022 Lexpert Directory, a guide to the leading lawyers and law firms in Canada. Jamie Gibson presented at the Tenth Annual Securities Symposium held by The Advocates’ Society, on a panel entitled “The Ontario Securities Commission: The Decade in Review”. Together with former Staff colleagues from the Enforcement Branch of the Commission, Jamie discussed recent developments in securities investigations and proceedings from the defence perspective, including: the challenges with big data in cryptocurrency-related investigations by the Commission, recent developments in credit for cooperation given by Staff, and the challenges posed by the new virtual Commission hearings.
